System Architecture

Canada's RTM framework uses a two-layer architecture:

rFIMS — Centralized (NAV CANADA)

The centralized brain: flight plan validation, departure authorization, position tracking, conflict detection, airspace management, and emergency response.

RSP — Service Providers

The operator-facing interface: flight planning, geo-awareness, traffic information, conflict resolution, and emergency declaration tools.
